In December 2019, two months after the passing of LT Sherwood, AFM conducted three days of training for all personnel of the Fayette County Fire Department. Through the LT Edward Sherwood Memorial Fund, the Sherwood Family invites you to join them in extending AFM's Intervene Challenge to other First Responder agencies (Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS).

Of the more than 21,000 individuals that have taken the Intervene Challenge, it is the greatest honor to work with the First Responder Community. As a group, they are the most proactive in making the necessary changes to gain the skills that make a difference. Perhaps it is because they  have a keen understanding of the vital importance of situational awareness as a critical skill for First Responders, who must make quick decisions that can mean the difference between life and death.

Are we where we need to be? Not yet, but we are moving in the right direction. Through your support of the LT Sherwood III Memorial Fund, AFM will continue to lead the charge in the training of thousands who sacrifice so much for the communities they serve.

Thank you for your support!

Lou Koon, President Armed Forces Mission
